Living Out Our Mission at Hume Lake

Almost every week, Big Valley Christian School posts a blog. Were you wondering where we were last week? Well, last week, staff, parents, and 122 6th & 7th grade students were up at Hume Lake Christian Retreats for Outdoor Education (science camp). It was a fantastic week for our students to discover more about God’s Creation, spend time with friends in a gorgeous mountain location and learn some great science information. More importantly, however, students learned more about who God is through the book of Exodus during 5 chapels.

Here’s what we love about Hume: they strive for excellence in all that they do: in their Christ-centered teaching, presentation, care, and support (not to mention beautiful facilities!). Their ministry allows us as a school to offer a great experience that helps to nurture and equip students to live for Christ more fully as they learn how to impact the world for Him.

With tremendous effort on the part of the BVCS office staff, families, 29 counselors, Hume staff, and 3 other BVCS staff that attended, we were able to live out the BVCS mission even during a difficult season in our world. Praise the Lord!
