At BVCS, our vision is to glorify God by striving to reach the highest standard of Christian education. Isn’t striving a great action word?  It is defined as “making great efforts to achieve or obtain something or to struggle or fight vigorously” - which means we are never satisfied with “good enough” or “fine.” So what are some of the ways Big Valley Christian School STRIVEs to reach the highest standard of Christian education?

See what God has done! We take the time to celebrate God’s faithfulness and give Him the glory for the ways in which He is working in His ministry.

Take time for reflection! To determine if we are meeting our goals, we reflect on what we’ve done, how it has (or hasn’t) worked and look at our strengths and areas for improvement.

Revise and refine to move forward! We use the data from reflecting on our goal progress to improve the plans and goals ahead.

Invest in our people! We value and foster a commitment to collaboration and unity. Working together, we are able to make greater strides in achieving even our biggest goals.

Vision and mission driven! Our vision (to glorify God by striving to reach the highest standard of Christian education) and our mission (to nurture and equip our students to impact the world for Christ) are not just slogans. Both our vision and mission are our motivation behind our actions and decisions.

Excellence is a mindset! Striving for excellence is a mindset to continuously look for the areas that need to be improved, to grow in our craft and to relentlessly pursue excellence now and tomorrow.
